I'm still here

I haven't been here much lately. I was enjoying the last few days of fall, the weather was so gorgeous. No time (or will) to write.


Now, it is cold and rainy. Nasty. I haven't been in the garden for a while, it is very depressing to see the sad and brown stalks, to think they used to be my lovely plants. In a desperate act to try to bit the cold, I asked my husband to build me a plastic house. He got a helper, a boy with big shoes.

The plastic house turned out very nice, he did a great job. I thought I was going to be able to keep it warm without extra heat. Stupid me. But I think it will make a big difference later on, when it is not so cold and maybe a heat light will keep my seedlings warm enough. Can you believe I already ordered my seeds? My sun room is full of cuttings looking health and some already rooting, there will be lots of planting! I can't wait.

And fall means raking. I really enjoy raking. I got a bit help from a naughty boy.

The naughty boy is also the king of the hill (or the leaf pile). I got leaves from 2 of my neighbors. Lots, lots of them! Hopefully, lots of compost. I have no idea how I will turn it.
